Vegetables Delivered in Sydney: The Easy Way to Eat More Veg This Week

You eat the veg that is already in the fridge. Here is a simple weekly plan for getting through a delivery, tomatoes to silverbeet.

Most people do not skip vegetables because they dislike them. They skip them because at 6pm the crisper is empty and takeaway is one tap away. Having vegetables delivered in Sydney fixes that at the source. If the veg is already in the house, it gets cooked.

Start with what is in the fridge, not a recipe

Meal plans fall over by Wednesday. A stocked fridge does not. Order by 3pm and your vegetables arrive the next day, Monday to Friday, hand-selected that morning and packed the day they are delivered.

Tomatoes and cucumbers are $5 a kilo. Iceberg lettuce, radishes, silverbeet and parsley are sold by the piece or the bunch. If the vegetable you want is not in the shop, call 0433 838 751 and we will source it.

A simple plan for getting through it

Loose vegetables come with minimums (4kg for tomatoes and cucumbers), so it pays to have a plan before the box lands.

  • Days 1–2: eat it raw. Lettuce, cucumber, radish and tomato are at their crispest. Make the big salads now.
  • Days 3–4: cook it. Wilt silverbeet into pasta, eggs or a curry. A whole bunch cooks down to a couple of handfuls.
  • Days 5–7: batch it. Roast the remaining tomatoes with olive oil and garlic for a sauce that freezes. Quick-pickle the last cucumbers and radishes in vinegar, sugar and salt, and they keep in the fridge.
  • All week: parsley. Stand the bunch in a glass of water in the fridge and use it on everything. Chop and freeze what is left.

Feeding one or two? Split the order with a neighbour. You both get more variety, and a shared order reaches free delivery (over $100, Sydney-wide) sooner.

Skip the peeling

If onions are the start of most of your dinners, or you cook for a crowd, peeled onions come in a 10kg bag. That is an hour of prep you get back. Cafés and restaurants order them for exactly that reason, and there is more on kitchen orders in our guide to produce delivery for businesses.

Add fruit to the same delivery

One order covers both. Bananas, apples, avocados and berries come on the same delivery as your veg, with no subscription and no contract. Order this week, skip next week, come back when the fridge is empty. For anything else, the FAQ page has the quick answers.
