The first question people ask about our fruit & veg delivery service in Sydney is not about delivery. It is “how much should I order?” Fair question. We sell the way the markets do, by the kilo or by the box, so the right answer depends on how many mouths you are feeding.
How the two ways of buying work
By the kilo, punnet or bunch. You choose the item and the amount. Most loose fruit and veg has a 4kg minimum, and berries start at 4 punnets. Bananas and avocados are $5 a kilo, Pink Lady apples are $4, Granny Smiths are $3.50.
By the box. You take the whole box of one item at a lower price than buying the same weight loose. It suits anything you go through quickly.
There is no minimum order total either way, and delivery is free Sydney-wide once your order passes $100.
For a household
Think about what disappears first in your kitchen. For most families that is bananas, apples and berries.
- Order loose for the things you eat steadily: 4kg of apples lasts well in the fridge, and 4kg of bananas is roughly a week of lunchboxes and smoothies for a family.
- Go halves. A 4kg minimum is generous for a couple. Splitting an order with a neighbour or family member gets you variety and the free delivery.
- Freeze the surplus. Ripe bananas and berries freeze well for smoothies and baking.
Our guide to keeping delivered fruit fresh for longer will help you get through every kilo.
For an office
An office fruit bowl empties faster than anyone expects. Boxes make sense here. Choose fruit people can eat at a desk with no knife and no mess: bananas, apples and kiwi fruit, with punnets of strawberries or blueberries for the kitchen.
Not sure on quantities for your headcount? Tell us how many people you have and which days you want delivery, and we will suggest an order. Recurring deliveries are flexible and there is no contract.
Running a café or restaurant? You already buy by the box. What you need is the box to arrive when it should. Order by 3pm and it is delivered the next day, Monday to Friday. Peeled onions come in 10kg bags to save your prep time, and anything missing from the list can be sourced on request.
Start small, then adjust
There is no subscription, so your first order is just an order. See how long it lasts, then change the next one.
